Deep Silver says that she can dispatch a scouting servo-skull to scope out remote areas of the battlefield. That gives the commander a confirmed information role in addition to her presence in combat: the source explicitly connects her to scouting remote areas rather than leaving the servo-skull as an unexplained name.
The article also says that Potentia’s upgrade paths are extremely flexible and can grow her into either a melee or ranged threat with clever combat tricks.
