A scouting Technoarcheologist
The Adeptus Mechanicus faction deep dive introduces Potentia Delta-9 as a Technoarcheologist. Deep Silver says that she can dispatch a scouting servo-skull to scope out remote areas of the battlefield. That gives the commander a confirmed information role in addition to her presence in combat: the source explicitly connects her to scouting remote areas rather than leaving the servo-skull as an unexplained name.

The article also says that Potentia’s upgrade paths are extremely flexible and can grow her into either a melee or ranged threat with clever combat tricks. The wording establishes choice in her development, but not the actual tree. It does not publish the upgrades, their cost, their level requirements or the exact difference between the melee and ranged outcomes.
Flexibility is not a published build order
A player can therefore expect Potentia to ask a different question from a fixed-role commander: which battlefield role should the upgrade path emphasize, and how much information is needed from the servo-skull? That is a description of the source’s design space, not a recommendation that one path is strongest. The Adeptus Mechanicus’ Noosphere and ranged synergies remain separate mechanics, even if the commander can interact with that style.
