Strategic Positions

The map locations that define Domination’s published victory condition and award Victory Points when held.
The control objective in Domination
The multiplayer AMA describes Domination as a selectable matchmaking mode. Its published condition is to capture and hold more Strategic Positions than opponents in order to gain Victory Points. That makes Strategic Positions the map objects at the centre of the mode’s control battle: they are not merely decorative points, but the locations that feed the stated score condition.
The source places this rule beside Annihilation and Maelstrom as one of the selectable game modes for matchmaking. It does not say that Strategic Positions are the victory condition of every mode. The mechanic belongs to the Domination description and should not be generalized into a universal rule for Dawn of War IV multiplayer.
Control is a published condition, not a balance verdict
The wording capture and hold implies a contest over map control, but it does not publish the number of positions on a map, their exact locations, their capture time or the rate at which they generate Victory Points. The source also does not state how a position behaves when both teams are present. Those missing rules prevent a pre-release page from claiming a fixed route or an optimal opening.
The confirmed information is therefore the link between Strategic Positions, Domination and Victory Points. The page can explain why the positions matter in that mode, while leaving the map-specific and numerical details open. Any assertion about the strongest capture order or the point at which a lead becomes uncatchable would require a source that has not been published here.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
