What Deep Silver has published about the Orks, their pressure-focused doctrine, and the limits of what is known before release.
What the publisher says about the Orks
Deep Silver describes the Orks as a brutal, battle-hungry species that thrives in conflict and dominates opponents through a strength-in-numbers approach. That is a statement about the faction’s intended identity in Dawn of War IV, not a ranking against the other armies. It establishes the broad idea: the Orks are built around pressure, aggression and the weight of a growing force rather than a promise that every Ork unit wins an individual fight.
The publisher’s own play guidance makes that identity more concrete. It tells players to keep the pressure on with relentless aggression and overwhelming numbers, spread bases, build multiple strongholds and erect Waaagh! Banners. It also says Ork Stratagems are free. Those are the published pillars of the faction’s pre-release doctrine; they are more useful here than a guessed build order or a claim about the strongest opening.
How to read the Ork counterplay guidance
Deep Silver’s HOW TO PLAY AGAINST block points to three pressure points: individual units, especially ranged units, are not the Orks’ greatest strength; Ork buildings are armed but relatively easy to destroy; and reckless advances create openings. This is the publisher’s counterplay guidance, so it belongs to the page as an attributed design statement rather than as an independent tier list. The practical through-line is to resist being pulled into a single uncontrolled brawl and to look for exposed infrastructure or overextended forces.
The source does not publish costs, production timings, damage values, a complete roster or a balance comparison. Nothing on this page turns the doctrine into a guaranteed launch strategy. Until the game is released and those values can be checked, the reliable answer is narrower: Deep Silver has confirmed an aggressive, numbers-driven faction with armed bases, Waaagh! Banners and free Stratagems, while the exact execution remains unconfirmed.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
Pages that name only the Orks
The publisher does not label its subjects by faction, so this list is derived: it holds every page on this site where the Orks are the only faction named. ⛔ It is not the publisher’s roster, and it is deliberately shorter than one.
