How the publisher describes the Orks’ Waaagh! mechanic, its trigger and the limits of pre-release timing advice.

An Ork energy meter

In its Ork faction deep dive, Deep Silver compares Waaagh! to an energy meter. The published description says it fills according to the number of Orks on the battlefield and the number of enemies killed. That gives the mechanic two clearly stated inputs: the size of the Ork presence and the army’s success in combat. The source does not publish a formula, a threshold or a list of values, so this page does not invent one.

The same article says that the player can trigger Waaagh! to give units a decisive advantage at the moment it is needed. Once activated, every fighting unit enters something like a berserker state, becoming more excited and much stronger. The publisher then identifies timing as important to getting the army over the finishing line. This is a description of intended design, not a verified launch sequence.

What the mechanic does not establish yet

The public explanation is enough to distinguish Waaagh! from a passive faction label: it is a chargeable resource-like system tied to battlefield presence and kills, with an activatable combat effect. It also explains why the Ork faction page connects pressure, numbers and timing. It does not say how quickly the meter fills in every mode, whether every fighting unit receives the same benefit, or how the effect interacts with upgrades.

Those unanswered details are material to strategy. No costs, durations, cooldowns or balance values have been published in the source used here. Until they are stated or measured in the released game, the reliable advice is to treat the publisher’s timing principle as confirmed design intent and every exact breakpoint as unconfirmed.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
