Adeptus Mechanicus
Faction
Checked as of · 1 official source · 2 min read
The published Adeptus Mechanicus identity, technology-focused doctrine and documented counterplay in Dawn of War IV.
A faction built around technology
Deep Silver presents the Adeptus Mechanicus and its Tech-Priests as keepers of the Imperium’s technology, driven by a quest to regain sacred knowledge. The description gives this faction a clear thematic and mechanical direction without pretending to publish every rule: technology, research and the control of the network that supports it are the parts the source chooses to foreground.
The publisher’s HOW TO PLAY guidance says to build a strong Noosphere Network early, then expand it to key resource points. It also says that the Noosphere Level unlocks important research and upgrades and advises keeping units equipped with the best technology. These are official priorities, not a claim that one opening is always optimal. They explain what the publisher wants a player to watch while the full economy and technology tree remain unpublished.
What the published counterplay says
Deep Silver’s counterplay guidance recommends using melee units against the Adeptus Mechanicus’ powerful ranged units, destroying Cogitator Relays in key positions to weaken the Noosphere Network, and remembering that the faction can field both cheap units and powerful late-game units. The publisher’s phrase that an opponent cannot outproduce them is a warning about the shape of the roster, not a numerical statement about production rates.
No public source used here supplies resource costs, research times, damage values or a finished build order. The page therefore treats the network, its level and the ranged-versus-melee contrast as confirmed pieces of the published design, while leaving exact timings and balance open. That distinction matters before release: the doctrine is documented, but its competitive outcome is not.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
Pages that name only the Adeptus Mechanicus
The publisher does not label its subjects by faction, so this list is derived: it holds every page on this site where the Adeptus Mechanicus are the only faction named. ⛔ It is not the publisher’s roster, and it is deliberately shorter than one.
