Tomb Pylon

Structure

Checked as of · 1 official source · 2 min read

The Necron structure built by Canoptek Spyders that creates Power Matrix and a translocation target.

A remote extension of Necron territory

The Necron faction deep dive says that Canoptek Spyders can build Tomb Pylons anywhere on the map. The source then explains that these pylons spawn a new patch of Power Matrix and act as a translocation target for units entering the Tomb Citadel. The structure therefore connects a remote location to both the Necron territory field and the faction’s movement network.

This role is different from the Tomb Citadel. The Citadel is described as the strategic centre and production engine, while the Pylon is a remote extension that changes where the Matrix exists and where movement can be directed. The published wording supports that division of labour without stating that a Pylon produces units or provides the Citadel’s upgrades.

A movement anchor with unpublished values

The Pylon’s confirmed value is positional. It can be built anywhere on the map by the named Canoptek Spyders, it creates a new Power Matrix patch and it becomes a translocation target. The source does not publish its construction cost, build time, durability, limit per map or the exact rules for units entering through the target.

The page therefore avoids calling Tomb Pylons permanent, invulnerable or interchangeable with every other Necron movement tool. Those claims would exceed the announcement. The structure’s published function is enough to explain why remote territory matters, while exact timing, limits and destruction consequences remain unconfirmed.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
