Annihilation

Game mode

The announced multiplayer mode whose victory condition is destroying enemy headquarters while protecting your own.

Destroy the enemy headquarters

The multiplayer AMA says that Annihilation is the default Quick Match mode. Its published condition is direct: destroy all enemy headquarters and protect your own. That is the confirmed victory condition for the mode and the reason the mode is distinct from Domination and Maelstrom, which score through positions or dynamic objectives.

The announcement says players can select any or all of the listed modes for matchmaking, with Annihilation included. The source does not publish the exact headquarters rules, the number of headquarters in team games or how the condition changes between 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. The page does not fill those gaps from other RTS games.

A condition, not a pre-release opening guide

The public text establishes what must be destroyed and what must be protected, but it does not publish a build order, a timing threshold, a map-specific route or a faction ranking for Annihilation. It also does not say that destroying a forward structure is equivalent to destroying a headquarters. Those details would require a full rules source or playable measurement.

The reliable page is therefore concise about the mode: Annihilation is the announced default Quick Match condition and requires the enemy headquarters to be destroyed while the player’s own is protected. Exact strategies, costs and balance remain unconfirmed before release.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
