The announced 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 multiplayer support, with no pre-release balance or build-order claims.

Three announced player counts

A developer announcement says Dawn of War IV will have 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 multiplayer support at launch. It also presents multiplayer as a way to take on the world and says the announced modes support cooperative play. This confirms the published player-count formats, not the final map list, matchmaking rules or the balance of any faction in those formats.

The later multiplayer AMA adds that Quick Match defaults to Annihilation and that players can select Annihilation, Domination or Maelstrom for matchmaking. That mode selection belongs inside the broader multiplayer framework. It does not mean that every player count uses identical maps, objectives or balance settings.

No pre-release competitive verdict

The public announcements do not publish a complete matchmaking specification, map rotation, queue rules, faction difficulty table or launch balance figures. They also do not provide a build order for 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3. A reader can know which player counts are announced without being told which faction is best or which team composition is guaranteed to win.

This page therefore stays at the mode level: multiplayer supports 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 at launch, while the AMA names selectable objectives and a default Annihilation queue. Exact strategy, balance and team coordination advice remain unconfirmed before release.

No cost, build time, hit points, range, damage or squad size here — none of it has been published, by anyone. The game has not shipped and no playable build has produced figures that can be checked. Those rows appear the day the numbers exist.
